Hello. I bought a Philips DCC 900 about 2003 or so. The unit is built like a tank. Used it a lot for awhile but afterwards it sat unused. When I try to play it now the mechanics of it all work perfectly but there is no sound. Not even through the headphone jack. I really don’t want to take it apart so I wonder if any of you have any ideas of what might be causing this. I received advice from the main DCC Museum site it is bad capacitors.
Any help on how to do this is appreciated. Thanks
Hi, Welcome to the forum,
If you replace the smd capacitors on both boards in the 900, you have a chance of bringing it back to life. We can surely assist you with that.
