Had this technics RS-DC8 for some time and decided it was time to get it sorted.
Pros:
It plays well on both sides and has a few drop outs.
Cons:
Error rate is around 1152
Error Display is normally E20000000110
No timing info displayed on the counter.
Needs a new belt and pinch rollers. Head has been cleaned..
Read/Write recap?

Hi,
You will also need to replace the gear.
As you are replacing the belt and caps, it is a must as the gear is accessible.

Hi Ralph, Ordered Gears, will get rollers later. I have had this years but it has sat waiting for me to get on with the job for some time! I have a Philips 951 and 700 that kept me going in the meantime…
Now I have a little bit more spare time I want to get my DC8 and a couple of portable decks back into working order. May still need you help with the DC8 if it needs any adjustment!
Polymer re-cap on the DC8 read/write board. A couple of “smelly” caps during removal of old ones and a good clean.
