Some issues to split tracks on side b

Hello,

A few days ago, I did record an entire DCC tape on my Philips DCC 951. The recording was successful.

I split the tracks on side A (and renumbered) and everything worked perfectly.

Now, I’m trying to do the same on side B and no way. When I’m trying to split the first track, the message To Start A appears and the device passes automatically to side A and starts to rewind. Please, could you let me know how to solve this? I looked for more information on the internet, but I did not find anything.

There’s also a track mark (mark) message that’s appearing. And the tape stops to play. I guess I will have to record again on this side, but I think the problem will persist. Maybe I created a track mark by mistake. Please, could you tell me if there’s a mean to delete this without making a new recording on side B?

I also would like to title both sides and add the track artist but like on pre-recorded DCC but I checked it out on the user guide, and seems it is not possible. Despite nothing mentionned within the user guide, please, is there a mean to add both fields? If not, it doesn’t matter.

Many thanks for your help.

When you play the tape and the recorder sees a “to start A” marker, I think you can quickly press stop, go into edit mode and erase the marker.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I am recording wave and flac files from my laptop, linked to a douck audio U2 through Foobar2000 . I checked with AI there can be a lot of reason for this. I will continue on this way. Maybe I will find out a solution. If you have some idea, you’re welcome. Many thanks again for your feed-back, it’s highly appreciated.
