Solenoid DCC170

Hello. I'm new here. I have found my DCC170 and I'm having a problem with the solenoid. It's no longer push out. The Solenoid worked until yesterday...Is it correct that it needs to push out to move the trigger lever? It takes 150 mA of current, but it's no moving. The coil must be okay. I'm desperate. Does anyone have any ideas? I hope so. Thanks a lot!!

I've been collecting DCC for a few weeks now. The best audio !!

It’s rare to encounter a solenoid valve malfunction. Have you replaced the capacitors on your DCC170? I suggest replacing them all; that might solve the problem.

I removed it for testing. I tried it with 5V (DC), as is also done in the recorder. Could it be that it is magnetized? The anchor is pulled in when no voltage is applied.

I thought an solenoid should normally be made of soft iron and have no magnetism when no voltage is applied, but on this pulls it always in. I hope someone might know what else it could be.

PS: I hope my english is readable....my german is better.

Thanks a lot!!

Very strange
