Power supplies

Hello all
I have just aquired a dcc900 needing a 110v supply is it possible to swap a230v trans former or even dual voltage? I know I can use an external step down transformer but as I want to put it in an intigrated system I would like it without external tranny.
Thanks in advance Nick

Hi and welcome,

You can swap swap the 220v for a 110V from a donor machine in the US. We are happy to help.

Hello, I have a transformer you need. I live in Germany

Hello easy rider
Is it 220v ifso how much and how do you want payment made.
Nick

Isn’t it possible to rewire the PCB on the power side?

Many of my philips stereo components have transformers with 2x 110V windings
being hard bridged to be used on 220/230V systems.
While some others have a switch to be externally set to 110/220.

Maybe studying the the PCB might help?
On most philips equipment one can easily trace out the PCB.
to see what changes are needed. Sometimes they are even
silkscreened onto the board.

May be above my abilities but will have a look thanks for info

Most repair manuals to philips stereo equipment are online downloadable.
These also contain both pcb board layouts and electronics schematics.
That is how I found out.

Thanks but my existing transformer is missing 220v pinand cannot see any wires from windings to where pin should be.
Cheers Nick

I have only seen a multi voltage 3 times. Most are dedicated transformers for 100, 110 and 220. Only 110-100 are changeable.

The 220 is not.
