Recently I got a DCC 130 portable player from an auction and it came with a big power adapter which also serves as a charger for the battery, which you have to put in between the player and the power plug. But I have a power adapter for a Philips mp3 player (HDD070) which has about the same voltage output and a fitting plug so now I can directly connect it to the player and a power outlet, without the charger ‘brick’ between them, which makes it a bit more portable. You can find power adapters with various voltage settings that you could use for this and other players/recorders
