My Philips DCC finally started acting up. The mechanism jammed when I was trying to load an analog tape. It wouldn’t go in all the way, so I ejected and tried loading a few more times.

Now tapes are loading again, but analog tapes are extremely faint, like the head is not contacting the tape, or the head is totally magnetized.

It plays digital tapes fine.

I used to repair stereos 35 years ago so am not afraid to dig in there, but wanted some clues as to what could be wrong.

Thanks. Now digital tapes are not playing correctly either. Does anyone sell repaired boards? I could send mine for them to use for next customer.
