Philips DCC 600 read/write head cable question

Hello there I wanted to repair my Philips DCC 600 because it has problem with the gear so I watched Dr DCC video (https://youtu.be/OmM2mbbz7F4?t=342 time stamp 5:42) on repairing but in that video I saw that the connecters to the read/write head weren’t unplugged should I unplug the read/write head cable or leave it plugged in? I would unplug the read/write head cables just so I wouldn’t not damage them. Of course it depends on whats better.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! You should leave them plugged in because it protects the head from ESD damage, of course you should still ground yourself or better use a wrist strap if you have one. Good luck with your gear replacement!
