Difference between 1st and 2nd gen blank tapes?

I am considering getting a whole box of 1st gen tapes 90 minutes, sealed. Any major drawbacks compared to 2nd gen?

@max The difference is mostly the felt pad and packaging.
The felt pad of the first generation with the Green packaging is more susceptible to the stick slip effect.
Even a nos tape could suffer fast from it.

I’ll take it, 2nd gen is much more expensive and cleaning okay. Do you need a showcase box for the 1st gen 90 minute Philips?

Much appreciated @max, but we have 2 showcases. So if you want to hold on to it that is fine. If you are not using it, we would be honored
