As per the title. The player works well and plays/records as it should but the paek meters are on full for both operations no matter where the record level is set. This is in the analogue setting. Any thoughts?
Maybe a defective potentiometer. But maybe somebody else in this forum has experienced this issue before. Can you test it?

In the 2nd generation recorders, the audio level meters are somewhat unusual: I think they use a couple of opamps to connect the analog signal to four A/D converter inputs on the front panel microcontroller.
It’s impossible to say what’s wrong but I’m sure it can be repaired.
