Hi,
From what you are describing the gear needs to be replaced.
Ralf
Thanks, Ralf.
I sent you an email.
IDCC 600 no cassette / cassette blocked
It seems someone forgot to start a new post. I would like to follow up on the original post.
It was impossible to find parts for the DCC 600, so I just put an ad on MP. There was quite a response. So now I have 5 dcc 600s, most of them for free, that were easy to fix (belts and gear), and 1 is still waiting to find the time to fix it.
I just want to tell you that sometimes the solution can come by changing your perspective.
Thanks for the tips Ralf, Jaq and Max.
Great Story @Jos_van_der_Kolk. Maybe you would consider donating a working version for display at the dcc museum? Your name would be permanently part of our collection.
Just a thought. Our goal is to have every piece of equipment donated and named by a member.

Hello, and happy new year to all of you!
I received from Ralf the new gears, but… I have a problem. My DCC is a model 300, that is slightly different, in the mechanics, from the DCC 600. I have a little cable which connects the infrared receiver, connected to the mechanics, to the printed circuit in front of the deck. I take some photos for you… can you help me? There seems to be no way to disconnect this cable to free the mechanics from the chassis, unless perhaps you disassemble the front and unsolder the wires … Help!!!
Hi,
The entire metal block (ir receiver) slides out from the mechanism.
