I have a second-hand DCC 175 where the “hold” switch is broken. Unfortunately, this player has already been serviced before, but with some combined effort I think I can get it working again.
I was able to use a hold switch from a donor player, but on the board where I need to install it, the two top pads have come loose from the PCB.
Am I correct in understanding that these are not essential for the operation of the switch, since only the bottom three connections are actually connected to PCB traces?
I hope someone can help before I attempt to repair this using only the three remaining proper solder points.
Thanks in advance for thinking along with me.
