Hi there.

My recorder plays normal cassette tape fine but dcc tapes I am having frustrating playback issues . If there a way to make the recorder register an analog Case tape to think it’s a dcc . And does anyone sell them ?

Hi,

You already found the video, as I saw the comment on the YT video.

Unfortunately we do not sell the metal device. It was a custom.

Your dcc playback issues stems from the fact that you are playing a lot of analogue tapes… these clog up the head and will destroy it in the end… so whatever you do, stop playing analogue tapes, clean the head with isoprop alcohol an wish for the best!

If you want to play back analogue cassettes, use a standard cassette deck, dcc heads are to delicate to cope with normal tape…
